- Ensure there is no infection, injury, bruising, or wound on or around the treatment area.
- Consult your healthcare provider if you have any active infections, allergies or hypersensitivity to Hyaluronic Acid, glabellar necrosis, active herpes, keloids, cancer, allergy to lidocaine, or any other relevant medical conditions.
- Inform your doctor if you are taking any blood thinners or anticoagulants.
- Refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages for at least 24 hours before the treatment.
- Our doctors begin with a comprehensive consultation to discuss treatment options and understand your expectations and concerns.
- A local anesthetic cream is applied to the treatment areas and left on for 30 to 45 minutes. Afterward, the area is cleansed.
- The doctor will then mark the specific areas to be treated and proceed to inject the calculated units into those marked areas.
After the treatment, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Avoid consuming alcohol for at least 12 hours.
- Refrain from washing your face, applying moisturizers, or using makeup on the treated area for at least 24 hours.
- Avoid touching or massaging the injected areas for the next 24-48 hours.
- For the next 15 days, avoid facial treatments or using steam.
- Refrain from vigorous physical activities or going to the gym for the next 72 hours.
- Ensure you drink an adequate amount of water to stay hydrated.
Side Effects/Precautions for the Profhilo Treatment
Following the procedure, you may notice swelling, bruising, or tenderness. These side effects are typically temporary and should subside on their own within a few days.
