How the academy is structured

Six courses in three families. Three masterclasses combine the courses that share a skill — the same machine and the same colour science — so learning them together takes far less time than one at a time.

Permanent Makeup courses

Implanting pigment — brows, lips and scalp. One machine, one colour science, three services you can charge for.

Eyebrow Microblading Course

Draw hair-like strokes to shape and fill eyebrows.

What you learn

  • Shaping and measuring brows
  • Hair strokes with the hand tool
  • Choosing the right colour
  • Ombré and combination brows
  • Practice on skin, then on a model
More about this course

Brows are the entry point of the permanent makeup trade and the service most salons are asked for first, which is why almost every student starts here.

Lip Colouring Course

Add safe, soft colour to lips. Works well on dark lips.

What you learn

  • Choosing colour for Indian lips
  • Using the machine and needles
  • Lip shaping
  • Working on dark lips
  • Practice on skin, then on a model
More about this course

Lip work on Indian and darker lips is a colour-correction skill, not a shade choice, and comparatively few artists in the city do it well.

Scalp Pigmentation Course

Tiny dots on the scalp make thin hair look fuller.

What you learn

  • Reading the hairline
  • Making dots look natural
  • Matching colour to hair
  • Depth and spacing
  • Aftercare advice
More about this course

Scalp work is the highest-paid of the three permanent makeup skills and the least crowded, because it takes the longest to learn.

Facials courses

Machine-led skin treatments for salon and parlour work. Shorter to learn, and clients come back on a schedule.

What you learn

  • How the machine works
  • Cleaning, exfoliating, hydrating
  • Choosing serums for skin type
  • Hygiene and safety
  • Practice on a model
More about this course

A machine facial is the shortest route to offering a clinical-grade service in a salon, and it is a repeat treatment rather than a one-off.

BB Glow Course

What you learn

  • Preparing the skin
  • Machine and needle settings
  • Choosing the right shade
  • How many sittings are needed
  • Aftercare advice
More about this course

BB Glow sits between skincare and permanent makeup, so it suits a beautician adding a treatment rather than changing trade.

Masterclasses

A masterclass is more than one course taught together. Fewer days than taking them separately, and you leave able to offer every service in it.

PMU Masterclass

Brows + Lips

You learn:

  • Eyebrow Microblading
  • Lip Colouring

Most students take both. Customers who want brows usually ask for lips next.

Fees on request — ask us.

PMU Advanced Masterclass

Brows + Lips + Scalp

You learn:

  • Eyebrow Microblading
  • Lip Colouring
  • Scalp Pigmentation

All three permanent makeup skills. Scalp work pays the most.

Fees on request — ask us.

Facial Masterclass

Hydra Medi Facial + BB Glow

You learn:

  • Hydra Medi Facial
  • BB Glow

For salon and beauty parlour work. Shorter and cheaper to start with.

Fees on request — ask us.

What the course fee includes

  • Full hands-on training
  • Practice on live models
  • Notes and a course handbook
  • Certificate when you finish
  • Lunch and tea/coffee, on us

What it does not include is a number on this page. Fees, durations and batch sizes are quoted on the call, so that what you are told is what applies to the course you actually want.

Why train inside a working clinic

Most beauty academies in Bangalore are classrooms. This one is a clinic that also teaches — so what you are taught is what the team does on patients the same week, and the person correcting you does the procedure for a living.

  • Taught by doctors, not just trainers
  • Taught in Kannada, Hindi or English
  • Learn inside a working clinic
  • 4,500+ patients treated
  • Colour science for Indian skin
  • Two clinics: Indiranagar and Bellandur
  • 12+ years of doctor experience

Questions students ask

What beauty courses does The Aesthetic Edge Academy run in Bangalore?
Five: eyebrow microblading, lip colouring (lip blush), scalp pigmentation, hydra medi facial and BB Glow. They also combine into three masterclasses — the PMU Masterclass (brows and lips), the PMU Advanced Masterclass (adds scalp) and the Facial Masterclass. Nail courses are launching shortly and are not open for enrolment yet.
How much do the courses cost?
Fees depend on the course, and on whether you take a masterclass rather than a single course. We quote them on a call rather than publishing one figure, so that what you are told is the number that applies to you. Leave your number on this page or WhatsApp us and we will give you the fee, what it includes and the next batch date.
Do I need any experience or a beauty qualification to join?
No. Students come from salon and beauty parlour work, from makeup artistry, straight from studying, and from outside the trade altogether. Each course starts from the beginning of its technique, so no prior training is assumed — which course suits you if you are starting from nothing is one of the things the call is for.
Are the courses taught in Kannada or Hindi?
Yes. Classes are taught in Kannada, Hindi or English — whichever you are comfortable in, and the trainer follows your lead rather than the other way round. The technique words stay in English (microblading, BB Glow, and so on) because that is how they are used in the trade and on the products, but nothing about how to do the work is going to be explained to you in a language you have to translate first.
Do I get a certificate at the end?
Yes — a certificate of completion issued by The Aesthetic Edge, handed over at the clinic. It is a clinic certificate rather than a government or examination-board qualification, which is the honest description of what it is: proof you trained here and completed the course.
Will I practise on a real person?
Yes. You practise on practice skin first and then on a live model, supervised, before the course finishes. Training on a model is the part that decides whether you can actually take a client afterwards, so it is included in every course rather than being an add-on.
Who teaches the courses?
The doctors and practitioners who run The Aesthetic Edge, inside the working clinic rather than a classroom mock-up — the same team behind 12+ years of practice and over 4,500 patients treated. You learn the protocols the clinic uses on its own patients.
Where are the classes held?
At the clinic — Indiranagar or Bellandur, depending on the course and the batch. Tell us which is easier to reach when you enquire. Both clinics are open Monday to Sunday, 10:30 to 20:00, and closed on Wednesdays.
Should I take a single course or a masterclass?
Brows, lips and scalp are one skill family — the same machine and the same colour science — so learning them together takes far less time than learning them separately, which is what the two PMU masterclasses are for. If you only ever want to offer one service, a single course is the cheaper way in. Hydra medi facial and BB Glow pair the same way for salon work.
Is permanent makeup a good career in Bangalore?
It is a service people return for: brows and lips need a touch-up, and a client who trusts one artist rarely changes. What we can tell you honestly is what the clinic sees in demand, and which of the skills is least crowded in this city — ask on the call, and ask before you pay for any course anywhere.
Do you teach mole removal, wart removal or hair transplant?
No. Mole and wart removal are performed here as a doctor-led medical procedure (radio-frequency cautery), not a beautician skill, so we do not teach it. The clinic does not offer hair transplant at all.
