- Refrain from taking Accutane for 6 months before your treatment sessions begin.
- Avoid using retinoids, exfoliants, topical antibiotics, or acids 5-7 days before your treatment.
- Do not take ibuprofen, Motrin, or Advil for at least 3 days before your treatment session.
- Stay away from laser procedures, unprotected sun exposure, or sunburn for at least 2 weeks before the procedure.
- Refrain from waxing, using depilatory creams, or undergoing electrolysis 5-7 days before your treatment.
- Do not shave on the day of the procedure to prevent skin irritation.
- If you are prone to cold sores, take an antiviral agent for 2 days before the treatment.
- Avoid blood-thinning agents for one week prior.
DURING
- Position the microneedle cartridge on the skin’s surface.
- Allow the microneedles to penetrate the skin.
- Apply bipolar RF energy directly to the target areas.
- Initiate the process of collagen regeneration and new elastin production.
AFTER
- Refrain from taking anti-inflammatory medications for at least one week following the procedure.
- Avoid applying ice to your face and refrain from using arnica or bromelain.
- Stay away from sun tanning and prolonged sun exposure for at least two weeks.
- Always use sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30.
- If you experience any discomfort, you may use a pain reliever like Tylenol.
Side Effects/Precautions for the Mnrf Treatment
After the procedure, you might notice mild, tiny crusts forming on the treated area. Some patients may experience initial discomfort during the procedure. It's also common to experience mild swelling and redness, which typically subsides within an hour or so.
Pregnant or lactating women, individuals with a history of keloids, or those with active skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, or skin cancer are advised against undergoing this treatment.
