Lipolytic Injections in Bangalore

Lipolytic injections use agents that break down fat cells in a small, defined area — most often under the chin or in a stubborn pocket on the body. It is a non-surgical contouring option for localised fat, not a weight-loss treatment.

What it does for you

Aimed at one specific area

The agent is injected into the pocket of fat being treated, so it can be directed at a small area in a way that diet and exercise cannot.

A non-surgical option

No incisions, no general anaesthetic and no hospital admission — the alternative for people who want an area addressed but not a surgical procedure.

A short appointment

The injections themselves take a matter of minutes, so a session fits into a working day.

Suited to small pockets other treatments overlook

Under the chin, along the jaw and other small areas can be difficult to treat with device-based applicators. Injections reach them.

Planned as a course, with honest numbers

The doctor tells you how many sessions the area realistically needs, and what result to expect, before you commit to the first one.

How the treatment works

1

Assessment and planning

The doctor confirms this is the right approach for your area and agrees a realistic session count with you before anything is booked.

2

Marking the area

The treatment area is cleansed and marked out so the injections cover it evenly.

3

The injections

Small amounts of the lipolytic agent are placed at multiple points across the marked area.

4

Settling and review

The area swells and settles over the following days. It is reviewed before the next session, and the plan is adjusted to your response rather than run to a fixed script.

Side effects, honestly

Most patients experience none of these. Some patients, in rare cases, may notice the following — listed because you deserve the full picture before you decide.

Swelling

Expected, sometimes marked, and part of the treatment working. It is most noticeable in the first days and settles over about a week.

Redness, bruising and tenderness

Common at the injection points. Bruising is more likely if you take blood-thinning medication.

Firmness or lumpiness in the area

The area can feel firm or uneven for some weeks as it settles. Tell your doctor rather than massaging it yourself.

Numbness in the treated area

Temporary altered sensation can occur, particularly under the chin, and usually resolves.

Not suitable for everyone

Not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an infection at the site, or with certain medical conditions. A full history is taken before treatment, and this is not a treatment for overall weight.

About this treatment

The thing worth knowing before booking is that the area looks worse before it looks better — swelling is the mechanism, not a complication. Patients who are not told this in advance often conclude after one session that it has not worked.

Questions patients ask

Is this the same as liposuction?
No. Liposuction is a surgical procedure performed under anaesthetic that removes fat physically, and it achieves considerably more in one sitting. Lipolytic injections are non-surgical, work on smaller areas, and need a course of sessions.
Will it help me lose weight?
No. It reduces fat in a small defined area. It does not change your weight and it is not a treatment for general weight management — that framing is the most common misunderstanding about it.
How long before I see results?
The area swells first and then settles, so early on it can look larger rather than smaller. Real change becomes visible over the weeks across a course of sessions rather than after a single one.
Do I still need to watch my diet and exercise?
Yes. Results hold best alongside a stable weight and consistent habits. Without that, the surrounding fat simply changes around the treated area.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the size of the area and how you respond. Your doctor will give you a number at consultation and revise it honestly as you go, rather than selling a fixed package up front.
Is it painful?
Most patients describe stinging during the injections and an aching, tender feeling for a few days afterwards. Numbing is used where appropriate.
