What is Profhilo?

How it differs from a filler

That spreading behaviour is the product's defining characteristic, and it is why it is injected differently from everything else in this family.

Few points, not a grid

Profhilo is given as a small number of injection points rather than a grid across the whole face. Volite and SKINVIVE, by contrast, are delivered as many spread-out micro-injections.

This is the most useful practical difference between them: fewer needle entries, and a product that distributes itself from those points.

The appointment

Anaesthetic cream first for around 30 to 45 minutes, then a session of roughly 30 to 45 minutes depending on the area. Most patients describe the injections as brief and tolerable.

Results and duration

Changes generally become noticeable over a few weeks, as the collagen and elastin response develops — so this is not an immediate-result treatment. The effect typically lasts around six months before a follow-up treatment is suggested.

Downtime

Most patients resume normal activities immediately. Small bumps at the injection points usually settle within a day, and mild swelling or redness may last a few days.
