How many Profhilo sessions are needed?

What our treatment page does and does not say

It gives the maintenance rhythm clearly: results last around six months before a follow-up treatment is suggested.

It does not publish an initial course count — and rather than borrow a protocol from elsewhere and present it as ours, this page says so. Ask at consultation how many sessions your plan starts with and how they are spaced.

The rhythm you can plan around

• Results develop over a few weeks, as the collagen and elastin response builds.
• They typically last around six months.
• A follow-up treatment is then suggested.

In practice that is roughly a twice-yearly treatment once you are established, which is a lighter ongoing commitment than course-based treatments.

Why it is not judged immediately

The effect comes from a tissue response rather than from the product sitting where it was placed. That takes weeks to develop, so assessing the result days afterwards — when you may still have small bumps at the injection points — measures the appointment rather than the treatment.

What each session involves

Numbing cream for 30 to 45 minutes, then a session of about 30 to 45 minutes depending on the area treated. A small number of injection points rather than a grid, and most patients describe them as brief and tolerable.

Small bumps at those points usually settle within a day; mild swelling or redness may last a few days.

Questions that turn this into a plan

• How many sessions does my initial course involve, and how far apart?
• When should I come back after that?
• What is the per-session price, and the initial course total?
• Would Volite, SKINVIVE or a skin booster suit my concern better?

That last one is worth asking directly. They are all hyaluronic acid skin-quality treatments and the differences are in formulation and placement, which is a clinical judgement rather than a preference.
