• Refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages for a minimum of 24 hours before the treatment to reduce the risk of bruising, as alcohol can thin the blood.
• Avoid any anti-inflammatory or blood-thinning medications for at least two weeks prior to the treatment.
• Ensure you have a substantial meal before the procedure to minimize the possibility of feeling lightheaded.
• Confirm that there is no infection, injury, bruising, or wound on or around the injection site.
• Consult with your medical healthcare provider if you have an active infection, allergy/hypersensitivity to the filler, glabellar necrosis, active herpes, keloids, cancer, or allergy to lidocaine, among other concerns.
• Inform your doctor if you are currently taking any blood thinners or anticoagulants.
• An anesthetic cream will be applied for a duration of 30-45 minutes.
• The designated areas of your face will be marked, and our aesthetician may capture photographs to thoroughly assess your skin for a comprehensive 360-degree treatment.
• Based on the marked areas, a gel-like substance will be injected into the skin. The duration of the entire process may range from 15 minutes to an hour, depending on the number of areas being treated.
• Following the injection, the treated areas are cleansed, and an ointment is applied.
• If you experience swelling or discomfort, an ice pack will be provided to alleviate pain. However, any discomfort is expected to subside within a couple of hours.
• Complete recovery of the treated areas is anticipated within 1-2 days.
• Refrain from rubbing or massaging the treated areas for the next 24-48 hours.
• Avoid steam, sauna, or any facial treatments for at least fifteen days.
• Steer clear of strenuous or vigorous activities for the next 72 hours.
• Minimize exposure to sun or heat for the next 72 hours.
• If there is any swelling, try to sleep facing up and keep the face slightly elevated.
Risks & Side effects of Dermal Fillers Treatment
Skin rash – While it is highly unlikely, a skin rash may occur if you are allergic to any of the substances used in the injections. Please contact our doctors if symptoms persist.
Swelling in the target areas – Swelling is entirely normal and is expected to subside within a few hours following the filler procedure.
Redness – Following the filler injections, you may experience some redness in the target areas, which is expected to subside after a few hours.
Slight wound or infection – While an infection after a filler injection is extremely rare, please contact our doctors if your symptoms persist.
