Dentures

With time and practice, most people can eat a variety of foods with dentures. Initially, it may be helpful to start with softer foods and gradually reintroduce harder foods as you become accustomed to chewing with dentures.

Dentures should be cleaned daily with a denture brush and mild soap or denture cleaner. They should be removed at night and soaked in water or a denture cleaning solution to keep them moist.

Dentures are removable dental appliances used to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissues. They can be full dentures (replacing all teeth in an arch) or partial dentures (replacing only some teeth).

The adjustment period for dentures varies from person to person. It may take a few weeks for the mouth to adapt to the new dentures, including speaking and eating comfortably.

Initially, dentures may slightly affect your speech as you adjust to the new appliance in your mouth. With practice and time, most people adapt and speak normally with dentures.

With proper care, dentures can last several years. Over time, they may need adjustments or relining to maintain a proper fit as the shape of the mouth changes.
