What is Volite?

An injectable treatment for skin quality — hydration and texture — rather than for shape.

How it differs from a filler

This is the distinction that decides whether it is the right treatment for you:

• A dermal filler is placed at specific points to add volume or contour. It changes shape.
• Volite is spread across an area as many micro-injections to improve hydration and texture. It does not change your face shape.

If what bothers you is volume loss or contour, a filler is the relevant treatment. If it is dryness, dullness and fine crepiness, this is.

What the appointment involves

Anaesthetic cream is applied for 30 to 45 minutes beforehand, and most patients find the micro-injections tolerable rather than painful. That numbing wait is most of the appointment.

The timeline

• Peaks around 10 to 14 days after treatment.
• Improvement continues over the first month.
• Lasts commonly in the region of six to nine months.

So it is not an immediate-result treatment, and judging it at 48 hours — when you may still have small bumps from the injections — is judging it at the wrong moment.

Sessions

Most patients have a single treatment, then repeat roughly every six to nine months to maintain the effect. Your doctor confirms the interval based on how your skin responds.

That is a lighter commitment than a course-based treatment, and it is worth knowing when comparing options.

Where it can be used

The face, and also the neck, décolletage and the backs of the hands — areas that show dehydration and fine crepiness early and are often left out of a facial treatment plan.

Downtime

Slight redness, small bumps and mild swelling on the day and the day after are normal. Most patients are back to normal quickly, avoiding strenuous activity for 72 hours.
