Why it ends when it does

This is the part worth understanding, because it changes what you do about it.

The curl does not gradually wear out of a lash. Your own lashes reach the end of their growth cycle and are replaced by new, uncurled ones. What you see as the lift fading is really a growing proportion of new lashes that were never lifted.

So the duration is set by your lash cycle, not by the product or the technique.

Which is why re-lifting early does not help

If the change you are seeing is new lash growth, lifting again sooner treats lashes that were never going to hold the old curl anyway — while over-processing the ones that are still there.

Our treatment page states the clinic's policy plainly: sessions are spaced rather than re-lifted on request. That is a clinic declining a booking for a clinical reason, and it is the right answer.

Not the same as extensions

The most common mix-up, and the durations are not comparable:

• Extensions glue additional fibres onto each lash and need infills every few weeks.
• A lash lift adds nothing. It reshapes the lashes you already have, so there is no adhesive at the lash line and nothing to fall off unevenly.

Comparing "how long does it last" between the two is comparing a maintenance schedule with a growth cycle.

Mascara

Yes, after the first 24 hours — though most people find they stop bothering. If you add a tint during the session, definition is usually enough on its own.

Timing it around an event

A few days ahead is ideal, so lashes are past the 24-hour dry window and the curl has settled.

Do not book a first lash lift for the day before something important: a patch test should come first. Ask how far in advance that needs to happen when you book.
