The aftercare that reduces the infection risk

Intercourse, tampons, swimming and hot baths are avoided for a short period, which your doctor specifies. Ask for the exact figure before you leave.

Those restrictions exist for the healing tissue. Contact the clinic if spotting becomes heavy, discharge changes in character or smell, pain increases rather than settling, or you develop a fever.
