The rate is not the price

Clear aligners at The Aesthetic Edge start at ₹1,499 per aligner. That is a real figure and, taken alone, it tells you very little — which is exactly why it is worth explaining rather than publishing bare.

Aligner treatment is not one appliance. It is a series of trays, each moving the teeth a small amount, swapped in sequence over months. So the arithmetic is:

rate per aligner × number of aligners your case needs

The rate is fixed. The tray count is not, and it is the large number.

What decides the tray count

How far the teeth have to travel, and in what direction. A single rotated tooth and a crowded arch with a bite that does not meet are not the same job. For suitable cases aligner treatment runs roughly 6 to 18 months, and the trays are changed on a schedule across that period — so a longer case is a higher tray count almost by definition.

This is why no clinic can quote your total honestly over the phone. The number comes out of the orthodontic assessment and the treatment plan built from it.

Why "cheapest per aligner" is the wrong comparison

Comparing two clinics on the per-tray rate only works if the plans have the same number of trays, and they usually do not. Ask instead for the planned tray count and the total for the full course, which is the number you actually pay.

What to check is included

Worth asking about specifically, because practices differ:

• The assessment and scans used to build the plan.
• The review appointments through active treatment.
• The retainer afterwards, which is not optional — teeth drift back toward their old positions without one, and that is the single most common reason results are lost.

Aligners are not always the cheaper answer, or the right one

Some cases can only be treated properly with fixed braces, and a dentist should say so rather than sell you trays that will underdeliver. Aligners also only work while they are actually in your mouth; inconsistent wear extends treatment, which extends the tray count, which changes the cost.
