Planning Glutathione Injection Before Your Wedding: The Bride's Runway

A full course of glutathione runs to around ten sessions, most people need four to six before anything is visible, and the change is described as gradual over one to three months — longer on deeper skin tones. So this belongs on the months-out end of a wedding plan, alongside the things booked early, and not in the frantic weeks when the blouse is being refitted.

How many months ahead should I start?

Work backwards from the clinic's own numbers rather than from the wedding date. Four to six sessions before change is visible. Around ten for a full course. One to three months for that change to accumulate, and longer if your skin is deeper.

Stacked up, that means giving yourself several months rather than several weeks, and if you are choosing between starting early and starting intensively, start early. A bride who begins three weeks out is beginning inside the window in which the clinic itself says there may be nothing to see yet.

There is one number this page deliberately will not give you: the gap between sessions. That is set by your doctor after assessing you, and it is the single thing that turns "around ten sessions" into a date in a diary. Ask for it at your consultation, then build the calendar around the answer.

Why can it not be compressed?

Because the mechanism is cumulative rather than immediate. The effect builds across a course, which is why review points exist along the way and why a doctor schedules it rather than selling you a block.

It is also why compressing it is the wrong instinct in the other direction. Excessive or prolonged use has been associated with reduced zinc levels, which is one of the reasons a course is dosed by a doctor instead of run open-endedly. "More, faster, because the wedding is in April" is not a plan a clinic should agree to, and it is reasonable to be told so.

Will it change how I look in the photographs?

Not in the way the advertising implies, and this is the part worth reading twice before spending anything.

Glutathione therapy is offered here as an antioxidant treatment aimed at clarity and radiance — not at changing the colour you were born with, and a consultation here will be direct with you about that. Using it to alter skin tone is an off-label use, the studies behind that claim are small and mixed, long-term data is largely absent, and the intravenous route carries the greater share of that uncertainty.

What the clinic does say is that patients on a course typically describe skin that looks clearer and more radiant, that the change is gradual, and that results vary between individuals. No clinic can promise you a wedding photograph, and one that does is telling you something it cannot know.

Which parts should not be left late?

Three, in order of how much trouble they cause.

The consultation. Suitability is decided in person after your doctor reviews history, allergies, medication, asthma and pregnancy status — and glutathione is not recommended in asthma, nor given in pregnancy or breastfeeding or where there is a known sensitivity. Finding that out in your wedding month, having already budgeted for a course, is a bad discovery on a tight timeline.

A first-ever infusion close to a photographed event. The cannula site can be bruised, swollen or tender afterwards. That is ordinary and ice helps, but hands and forearms are photographed heavily through mehendi and the ring ceremony, so a first session is better placed with weeks in hand than days.

And starting at all inside the last month expecting a visible change. If the runway is gone, the honest options are to skip it, or to start it as something for yourself after the wedding rather than for the wedding.

How does a session fit into a wedding-season diary?

More easily than most things you are booking. Allow 45 to 60 minutes for the infusion, after a deliberately slow first ten minutes during which you are watched for any reaction — and add real extra time to the first visit, because the assessment comes before the drip.

There is no documented downtime, and most patients resume normal activity immediately. You can generally take calls, answer messages or work through it, which in the middle of wedding admin is not nothing. Brief stinging as the cannula goes in is the extent of the discomfort most people report.

What should the doctor know before the season starts?

Everything else you have booked, and everything you are taking. Bring the actual list: prescriptions with doses, supplements, anything picked up abroad, anything a relative pressed on you. If you already take zinc, say so.

Say it out loud if you have asthma, however mild or however long ago. Mention any history of allergic reaction. And you will be asked to hydrate, eat properly before the appointment, hold antihistamines for 24 hours and hold alcohol for 48 hours — the alcohol window is the one that collides with a wedding season, so plan sessions away from the functions rather than promising yourself you will skip the drinks.

What should make me ring the clinic?

Do not sit with a symptom deciding what it means, particularly in a month when you are busy and inclined to push through things. Contact the clinic if there is spreading redness around the cannula site, pain that is climbing rather than settling, or fever. If you develop breathlessness, wheeze, a widespread rash, or swelling of the face, lips or tongue after leaving, treat it as urgent — get immediate medical care and tell the clinic what happened. Either branch answers on the numbers on this site, and a clinical question is routed to a doctor.

What will do more for your skin before the wedding

Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen, from today, without a gap. An antioxidant infusion gives you no protection from UV, so without it you are undoing a course between sessions — and a bridal year involves a great deal of daytime running about for fittings, shopping and shoots.

And if what is actually bothering you has a name — melasma across the cheeks, marks left by acne, patchy tone — take that to a diagnosis first. A named condition usually has a targeted answer, and a general infusion is something that may support a plan rather than being one.

Where to start

Glutathione IV therapy starts from ₹4,999 per session, and the consultation is ₹500, waived against treatment. If a general restorative is closer to what you want in a demanding few months, IV drip therapy or glow drips may be the more sensible conversation.

Book a consultation at Indiranagar or Bellandur as soon as the date is fixed, bring your medication list, and ask for the session interval before you commit to anything. The runway is the whole decision here, and it is the one part you can still control.
