What is an oxygen facial?

What it actually is

A facial. Pressurised oxygen is applied to the skin to carry serums deeper into it.

What it is not

Nothing is breathed in. This is not an inhaled oxygen therapy, and that is the most common confusion about the treatment — the name suggests something respiratory, and it is not.

If you were looking for oxygen therapy in the medical sense, this is a different thing entirely.

When you see a result

Immediately. Skin looks plumper and brighter after the first session, which is why it is popular in the day or two before an event.

That immediacy is the treatment's main selling point and distinguishes it from most things on this site, which build over weeks.

How long the glow lasts

Typically one to two weeks from a single session, depending on your skin and your routine. Regular sessions maintain it.

So it is a maintenance and occasion treatment rather than a corrective one — useful to know when comparing it against treatments that change skin quality over months.

Whether it suits reactive skin

It is described on our treatment page as one of the gentlest facials we offer, and the serum protocol is adjusted for reactive or breakout-prone skin at assessment.

Mention any known sensitivities before the session — the recognised effects are a mild, brief redness that settles fast, and, rarely, irritation from a serum ingredient in reactive skin. The assessment screens for that first.

Combining it

It pairs well after milder treatments as a hydration finish. Which combinations are compatible is confirmed at consultation rather than assumed.

Cost

We do not publish an oxygen facial price. Ask for the per-session figure, and — since the glow lasts one to two weeks — ask what a maintenance schedule would cost annually if that is what you are after.
