HydraFacial vs Chemical Peel: Which One Is Your Skin Asking For?

One is maintenance with no downtime, the other is correction with some. Booking the wrong one is why people say a treatment 'did nothing' — or why they were caught out by a week of flaking.

Choose a Hydra Medi Facial if

You want visibly fresher skin without downtime, or you have a wedding, shoot or event in the next fortnight.

Choose a chemical peel if

The complaint is pigmentation, marks or texture that a facial has not shifted, and you can plan around the recovery a peel asks for.

Questions patients ask

Can I have a peel and a facial in the same course?
Yes, and many plans use both — the facial for maintenance between peel sessions. The spacing is set by the doctor so the skin is not being resurfaced and stripped at once.
Which is better for acne?
Neither replaces medical treatment for active, inflamed acne. A facial can calm mild congestion; peels are usually the choice for the marks acne leaves behind.
Does a chemical peel always make you flake?
It depends on the depth. Peels are offered at more than one depth and the recovery differs accordingly — which is why the depth is a doctor's decision rather than a menu choice.
