Dermaplaning in Bangalore
Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation: a sterile single-use blade, held flat against the skin, lifts away dead surface cells and the fine vellus hair most people call peach fuzz. Skin feels smoother the same day, makeup sits flatter, and the products you already use absorb better. Nothing is injected and there is no downtime.

Is this you?
What it does for you
Smoother texture straight away
Removing the dead surface layer and vellus hair leaves skin noticeably smoother to the touch by the end of the session.
Makeup sits flat, not patchy
Foundation catches on fine hair and flaking skin. With both lifted, makeup applies evenly — the main reason patients book before an event.
Your skincare works harder
Serums and actives penetrate a freshly exfoliated surface far better, so the routine you already own does more.
No downtime and no needles
There is nothing to recover from. You can return to work, and to makeup, the same day.
Pairs well with other treatments
Clearing the surface first helps a facial or a peel reach the skin more evenly, so it is often done as a prep step rather than alone.
How the treatment works
Assessment
The clinician checks for active acne, broken skin, sunburn or cold sores — all reasons to postpone rather than proceed.
Cleanse and dry
The face is cleansed and dried fully; the blade cannot be used safely on damp skin.
Blade work
Short, flat strokes section by section, skin held taut, lifting dead cells and vellus hair.
Soothe and protect
A calming serum goes on, followed by sunscreen — the skin is more sun-sensitive for roughly a week afterwards.
Side effects, honestly
Most patients experience none of these. Some patients, in rare cases, may notice the following — listed because you deserve the full picture before you decide.
Short-lived redness
Mild pinkness for an hour or two after the session is common and settles on its own.
Increased sun sensitivity
Skin burns more easily for around a week afterwards. Daily sunscreen is part of the treatment, not an optional extra.
Small nicks or grazes
Uncommon in trained hands, more likely on uneven or very reactive skin. They heal within a few days.
Breakouts over active acne
Working a blade across inflamed spots can spread bacteria and worsen them, which is why active inflammatory acne is a reason to postpone.
Not suitable in some situations
Active cold sores, sunburn, broken or infected skin, and some skin conditions mean this is deferred or declined at assessment.
Questions patients ask
Will the hair grow back thicker or darker?
Is this the same as shaving my face at home?
Does it hurt?
Can I have it if I get acne?
How often should I have it done?
Can I wear makeup afterwards?
