- Inform your doctor about any medications you are currently taking.
- Avoid medications containing blood thinners.
- Wash your hair on the day of the treatment.
- Refrain from using any hair products.
- Bring a clean hat to protect the treated area after the PRP treatment.
- Eat a meal before the procedure, as drawing blood may cause lightheadedness.
- A comprehensive consultation with our doctor is conducted to gather information about your medical history.
- Prior to the treatment, a blood test/checkup will be performed.
- A numbing cream is applied to the treatment area and left on for 30 to 45 minutes.
- The doctor will draw a small amount of blood, which will then be centrifuged to separate the platelets (growth factors).
- After cleaning the treatment area, the growth factors are superficially injected into the scalp.
- The area is cleansed once more following the procedure.
- Avoid washing the treated area for at least 48 hours after the treatment.
- Refrain from direct heat and sun exposure for at least 24 hours.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and swimming for 2 days following the treatment.
- Abstain from vigorous exercise for at least 2 days after the treatment.
- Avoid alcohol and blood thinners for at least 6 hours to prevent bruising.
Side Effects/Precautions for Prp Hair Regrowth Treatment
It is possible to experience bruising and pain in the treated area for two to three days. You may also feel some discomfort at the treatment site and a heavy sensation on the scalp for a few hours after the procedure. If you experience significant pain or discomfort, it is important to contact your doctor immediately.
If you are currently taking antibiotics or blood-thinning medication, it is advisable to avoid this treatment as it involves the use of your blood. Additionally, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is recommended not to undergo this treatment.
